SPAN 300 - Spanish for Spanish Speakers

This class is intended for students who grew up speaking Spanish, and it focuses on introducing students to academic and professional forms of Spanish. The class draws on important literature and current global issues as it addresses elements of written and oral expression in casual and formal contexts. Topics that may be addressed include accents, grammar, borrowed words, identities, or regional differences in the Spanish language.

Prerequisite(s): Self-identify as a Spanish speaker, permission from a professor, or a 450 or better on the placement exam.
