ORGL 520 - Maximizing Ethical Leadership

This course provides an applied understanding of leadership communication ethics. The course offers a brief survey of various theories of ethics centered on virtue ethics as developed by Alasdair MacIntyre. Organizations are considered as communities of practice which strive toward particular goods. Students examine the organizational communicative practices of leaders in light of the goods they protect and promote. As the heart of leadership, ethics is portrayed as the pursuit of human flourishing in a given organizational context.

Prerequisite(s): GRAD 400 /GRAD 500  and ORGL 404 /ORGL 504 .

Grading Method: Letter grade.
