AGBU 360 - Agricultural Policy and Regulations


3 Credit(s)

An introduction to the policy and regulations set for the agriculture industry. Students will analyze, understand, question, and explore agriculture policy and regulations. Topics will include agriculture and energy policy, their “stages,” and new policy ideas. There will be a focus on analysis of policies that affect livestock, crops, nutrition, markets, trade, laboratories, food quality, and energy. Students will gain a basic understanding of the rule making process by the USDA, FDA, EPA, DOE, state agencies, and how that affects the agriculture industry.
