EDCO 665 - Reading in the Content Areas and Field Experience

This course will emphasize the foundations of teaching literacy. Students will learn how to respect the importance of literacy instruction across all disciplines. This course develops skills that assist in adapting and applying a variety of reading techniques and instructional strategies for reading in the content areas at the secondary school level. This course includes 15 hours of field experience.
Prerequisite(s): Must have passed Teacher Education Program Checkpoint I.
Grading Method: Letter grade.
