EDCO 560 - Foundations of Education and Field Experience 3 Credit(s)
In this course students learn and demonstrate their understanding of individual learner development K-12. Students are required to apply this knowledge in designing developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiences, adapting to meet the needs of all learners. Students will be introduced to the use of evidence to evaluate the effectiveness of their professional practices including planning and instruction. This course is required for admission into the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. As part of the reflective practice, students will complete an Educational Dispositional Assessment (EDA). Students will be charged a one-time Education Assessment Fee.
Prerequisite(s): Students must complete a background check prior to field experience. The background check will be conducted by BVU’s Human Resources department and is at the student’s expense.
Grading Method: Letter grade.
