Quality Science is an industry term related to measuring the excellence, consistency, and suitability of products. This minor is delivered in partnership with Pathway for Patient Health (PPH) with a goal of providing students with the credentials to pursue employment in the biopharmaceutic and biotechnology fields in the areas of quality assurance. Students with critical thinking knowledge to understand the measures of quality from both business and science perspectives are highly sought after by employers in these fields. PPH provides connections to leading life science companies such as Baxter International, Procter & Gamble, AstraZeneca and Elanco. As part of the partnership with PPH, students will develop an online portfolio to create direct connection to companies for internships and employment opportunities upon graduation.
PPH delivers the core classes online using industry expertise as part of the Business and Regulatory Biology area (BARB). Subsequently, students choose one: STEM concentration or Non-STEM concentration class sets delivered by BVU to complete the minor.
