MATH 075 - Introductory Mathematics 4 Credit(s)
This course covers basic mathematics topics such as arithmetic of fractions, decimals, and signed numbers; percents, ratios, and proportions; basic rules and techniques for manipulation of algebraic symbols and expressions (including exponents and radicals); and solution methods, graphs, and applications of linear equations. Enrollment by university placement.

Notes: Must earn a grade of “C-” or better. Grading Method: Student option.
Learning Outcomes:
- Review mathematical manipulations of whole numbers, integers, fractions, decimals, and real numbers.
- Solve and balance equations and inequalities using multiple algebraic techniques.
- Apply learned skills in solving equations to solve real-world problems.
- Develop linear equations and inequalities using linear graphs, slopes, and intercepts.
- Solve equations and inequalities with multiple variables.
- Manipulate polynomials.
- Apply multiple strategies to factor polynomial expressions.
- Utilize arithmetic, algebraic, and factoring methods to solve rational expressions and equations.
