CRIM 495 - Internship

The criminology and criminal justice internship provides students with an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to real world practice through supervised experience in criminal justice or a related field.

Prerequisite(s): Permission of instructor, minimum 2.5 GPA (both cumulative and within major/minor), and junior standing.

Grading Method: Pass/Fail.

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Recognize the policies and procedures of the placement agency.
  2. Apply learning from previous coursework to a professional setting.
  3. Demonstrate professional and ethical decision making in the justice field.
  4. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication in a professional setting.
