CRIM 495 - Internship 3 Credit(s)
The criminology and criminal justice internship provides students with an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to real world practice through supervised experience in criminal justice or a related field.
Prerequisite(s): Permission of instructor, minimum 2.5 GPA (both cumulative and within major/minor), and junior standing.
Grading Method: Pass/Fail.
Learning Outcomes:
- Recognize the policies and procedures of the placement agency.
- Apply learning from previous coursework to a professional setting.
- Demonstrate professional and ethical decision making in the justice field.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication in a professional setting.
