ARTD 495 - Internship

The internship is an intensive work experience and will give the student the opportunity to use knowledge and theory gained in the classroom and apply it in a professional environment. Students can explore potential career paths, start a professional network, and gain related experience that employers will expect after graduation.

Prerequisite(s): Approval of supervising faculty member.

Repeatable for credit.
Course Frequency: F, S

Grading Method: Pass/Fail.

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Technical ability: Students will produce work at the level required for their internship. Student will demonstrate technical proficiency in the required skillset and will build on their skills as part of their internship.
  2. Time & Project Management: Students will display a high level of organization, working with their internship supervisors and supervising professor. Student will meet deadlines set by internship and communicate professionally and respectfully with their internship supervisors, professors, outside vendors.
  3. Communication: Students will effectively communicate their ideas verbally, aesthetically, and in writing.
