ARTD 180 - Art Foundations: Drawing 3 Credit(s)
This course will familiarize students with the elements and principles of two-dimensional design through the application of art theory to specific assigned problems. Students will learn specific ways to think creatively and develop original, innovative ideas. The assignments in this course will involve specific aspects of design and will teach students both the vocabulary and concepts of 2-dimensional design.

Learning Outcomes: 1.Demonstrate a growing professionalism in both work ethic and quality of artwork.2.Recognize the basic criteria for aesthetic standards and be able to voice critical judgments, observations, and advice in the discussion of artworks.3.Develop and demonstrate basic collegiate level drawing skills and exhibit experimentation in both techniques and materials.4.Demonstrate the willingness to explore and create artworks beyond preconceived boundaries.
