AGBU 320 - Economics of Agricultural Markets

This course emphasizes analysis of commodity prices and the effect of supply, demand and institutional forces on farm income and agricultural income policy. Students gain an overview of U.S. and international agricultural commodity markets, agricultural prices, futures and options markets, price forecasting in commodity markets, and key public policies and regulations in agricultural markets. Managerial economics with applications focusing on agriculture, food, and resource issues are employed.

Prerequisite(s): ECON 205 , ECON 206 .
