AGSC 420 - Animal Health and Wellness 3 Credit(s)
This course introduces animal husbandry practices associated with disease mitigation, with a focus on common respiratory, reproductive and metabolic diseases as well as the epidemiology - the study of disease, including distribution, determinants, clinical symptoms of morbidity and mortality in livestock species as well as the interconnections across species, including human.

Learning Outcomes:
- Be able to identify the factors influencing herd health.
- Understanding of common pathogens and management practices to reduce health risk.
- Learn to improve the efficiency of animal husbandry practices to improve herd health, implementing those practices with conderation for food safety.
